Living a Life Worth Living One Day at a Time
Busy Bees
Our beekeeping adventure started with "what are we even doing?" We suited up in our weird white suits and got to know our buzzing little neighbors. Watching the bees work so hard to make honey has been a humbling lesson in teamwork.

This Little Piggy Did What?
When we got into pigs, we knew they'd be a handful, but their goofy personalities have completely won us over. From their snorting and rooting to their silly zoomies, they've taught us a ton about animal care. It's definitely not a lazy Sunday kind of project, but we love the pride that comes from raising them ourselves, knowing exactly where our food comes from.

Veggie Buffet
Fencing is one of those projects that looks easy until you try it. But putting up our cross fences was a crucial step for something much bigger: soil health. This keeps the grass happy, prevents overgrazing, and allows the land to rest and regenerate. It's taught us that good stewardship is all about caring for the ground beneath your feet, because healthy soil is the true foundation of our homestead.

Canning and Preserving
You know it's a good harvest when your kitchen turns into a full-on canning factory. We spend days washing, chopping, and boiling, but filling the pantry with jars of pickles and sauces is the best feeling. It’s like putting away little pieces of summer to enjoy all year long. It’s a messy but incredibly rewarding way to keep the garden alive on our shelves.

Milking Our Dairy Cow
Milking our dairy cow has become our favorite daily ritual. Every morning, we grab our bucket and head out for some quiet time with our sweet cow. It's a peaceful task that forces us to slow down. And, seriously, nothing beats the creamy taste of fresh milk right from the source. It’s a responsibility that feels like a gift.
